The Film Actors & Actresses Academy Values 

Definition of Values

 

Principles or standards of behaviour; one's judgement of what is important at the Academy in the classroom, on the film set and socially when together. 

This set of guiding principles and fundamental beliefs help us function together as a team / individually and work towards a common goal within the film industry.

"To have the best skillset and values in the classroom, audition room and film set" 

FACTA has a proven track record in successful film castings awarded through defined accredited 

skills and behaviours required for best practise in placements externally and internally within film productions.

Integrity

The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.

"A person of complete integrity"

Diligence

Steady, earnest, and energetic effort : devoted,  painstaking work and application to accomplish an undertaking : assiduity.

 

"Showed great diligence in defining the character in the scene"

Diversity 

Having a range of people with various racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds and various lifestyles, experience, and interests.

Examples of diversity include visible diversity such as age, ethnicity, gender, physical abilities/qualities, race. Invisible diversity examples are sexual orientation, educational background, and work experiences.

A safe and healthy place to learn and be creative in performing freely without prejudice both in the classroom and on film set.

Accountability

When you are focused on achieving your goals and tasks (Preparation for class - listening and demonstrating effectively with your Film Coach).

Limit distractions and pressures. Moreover, when Academy members and Coaches witness this, you're setting an example for them.

Discipline

Discipline creates habits, habits make routines, and routines become who you are daily as an Actor.

Honesty

Honesty or truthfulness is a facet of moral character that connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness including straightforwardness of conduct, Honesty also involves being trustworthy, loyal, fair, and sincere.

Kindness

The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.

Being selfless, caring, compassionate, and unconditionally kind.

Show professional interest of others in the classroom / film set and at Academy social gatherings. 

Humility

Freedom from pride or arrogance : the quality or state of being humble.

"Accepted the honor with humility" 

Loyalty

A strong feeling of support or allegiance.
